Question: Cut off Savers pants for shorts or Muffin top?
This is the question I have to ask myself every morning while deciding what to wear so I thought I would throw it out to you. I have two pairs of shorts from Savers that were once pants but now I have cut them off to shorts. OR I can squeeze into my pre pregnancy close and have a muffin top (so similar to the picture above its scary. that was a google pic and I am wondering where they got that picture of me?)
Ugh! are cut offs even in style for knee length shorts? Does it matter if they are a little big? What about wear spots where the thighs rub? TMI? ...
What about muffin top? Name one person that thinks a muffin top is attractive? seriously name someone... I know a psychologist that needs patients.
I need a style coach and the sad thing... I used to be cute and trendy!!! What happened? Oh, I had a baby, got fat, no money, had another baby, got fat again, started a business, stressed out!
I am working on the weight so I am not about to go spend money on a new wardrobe until my baby is 1 year old. I am giving myself at least a year to get back BUT what do you do in the meantime?
Anyway I know I am not the only one (woman) with some kind of dilema while getting dressed in the morning. If anyone wants to be my style coach let me know. But leave your tricks to staying in style and maybe we will learn from each other.
And dont forget to put in your vote: Cut offs OR Muffin Tops?

Once you get your advice, please forward it to me. I'm in a similar situation...no money and what money we do have, I'd rather dress my girls. So, I resort to yard sales, Ebay, Target, Walmart, and then I've decided I just do my best and right now can't care. But, I too need advice. How do you stay trendy and fashionable on a penny? My vote: cut offs. I don't know if they are "fashionable" but better than a muffin top.
HAHAHA I love it you are sooo funny... But I've gotta say cut offs, not that you even have a muffin top to even look like that photo.. but from lookin at that photo I say No muffin top for anyone!
Cut-offs definately. You dont look like that picture by the way. And here's a question for you...since cut-offs are quickly going to be out of season WHAT DO WE DO?!?! Do we just hope the swim-suit diet and workout we started in Spring finally shows results by the time we have to pack up our cut-offs? Or do we wear enough layers to cover up the muffin-top that the muffin-top has turns to a lolly-pop. You know, round on top from the layers, stick on bottom from the once-fit-me-but-now-too-small jeans? Who invented jeans anyway? Were elastic waists and sweat pants not good enough?
Girls, girls girls...never squeeze into clothes that don't fit. It is not flattering. It is not comfortable. And you wind up just feeling bad about yourself or feeling self-concious.
Oakley...do you have any skirts? My skirts are always a little more forgiving of my body in the first months after delivering babies. And you can pair them with tights in the cooler weather. If you can spend even a little money, buy at least one new outfit in a size that fits now (even if it is not your pre-preg size)because you deserve to have one outfit that fits well and feels "new", so that you can feel good about how you look. If you cannot spend at all, talk to your neighbors, friends, family and ward members and try to organize a "brown bag exchange" where you trade around clothing that you don't need/want anymore. Maybe someone else in your circle of friends will have a cute outfit you can add to your wardrobe. But, I vote to also keep wearing the cut offs. If they fit and you are comfortable wearing them, that is ultimately better than forcing into your other clothes. Bottom line...we love you for who you are and not what you are wearing. So, regardless of how you dress, we will always think you are cool and hip. And I personally admire you for being a wife, mother, and business entrepreneur. That is a lot of work and selfLESSness. Don't forget to take care of you, too. Good luck.
I think that you always look cute and trendy. I wish that I could look as cute as you. Good luck
This is hillarious! I feel like this every day, you are not alone. I found your blog from Halsts website. My mom and I were looking for your clothing line. I am excited to look at your creations. I am a sucker for girls clothes. I hope it does well for you.
