New Found Love

Okay, so confession time!!! I have a new love... and here is how it all started.

A few weeks ago we decided to go to the farmers market, I have never been to a farmers market (well that I can remember), and I was overwhelmed with all of the local goods. There was a huge row of produce from local farms and wow it all looked amazing! There are artists, photographers, inventors, small businesses, woodworkers, iron artists, jewelrs, toy makers, etc... the list goes on. I was enjoying all of it but the part I was enjoying the most was....you guessed it THE FOOD!!! Oh so many varieties of food and we were all (I am speaking for all that was there, even those not with our party) having a hard time making a decision on what kind of food? Breakfast food or lunch food? Carribean, Mexican, Asian, Whole Raw or Snack food? I gravitated toward the whole raw food at a little stand selling the best Buckwheat pancakes. Why were they the best you ask. Well just check out the list of yummy stuff piled on top of a scrumptious, sweet, melt in your mouth, buckwheat flap jack: Nutella, Peanutbutter, almond slices, craisins, blueberries, granola, bananas and the BEST homemade apple cider syrup! Oh I want another one now! As you can tell it is probably not low in calories but oh does it taste good! I am mad I have forgotten my camera every time so I have no pictures of this delite.

Okay I got a little carried away so back to the main story of my new love (that was not it but a close contender and I think the calories are what makes it second). As I was enjoying THE pancake Grey was finding his prized purchase. At this little booth on the far north west end of the farmers market he found two of his favorite things mixed: Tomatillo salsa and avacado! And let me tell you it is so so so good. I cant even begin to explain the explosion of flavor that happens when you take the first bite with bread or chips or whatever it may be.

After that first trip to the farmers market that salsa did not make it to see the next day we ate it before dinner that night, yikes! so when we decided to go back this weekend we went for two things: THE pancake and THE salsa. The pancake was just as delicious as ever and we felt like sprinting to the salsa, we were so excited. I wanted Grey to buy three of them but he said we only needed two. As we were debating the creator of this wonder said "if you guys like it that much, you need to get this salad dressing. It is the miracle ingredient in the salsa and it has the recipe on the back so you can make your own." Oh wow! forget the salsa (not really, its still addicting) this dressing/dip is..... Yes, it is my new love!!! I really cant describe how great it is so you will have to try it on your own. It is great on salad, as a bread dip and even for veggies.

Oh did you want to see what it looks like!

On the right is the dressing and on the left is the salsa!!! Oh so good!

You can find these great products at the farmers market or Dans Grocery on 7200 south or Dans Grocery in Foothill Village. I highly highly recommend this! If you want to go to the farmers market let us know, we are always game to go and we will show you our favorite things.

Note: On the dressing bottle at the very bottom is a great saying I am going to take to heart and try to live by: Be yourself, everyone else is taken

Next time I will take a picture of buckwheat paradise pancake.

Yummy. Yummy. It all sounds good to me. Hey, I left a comment on your previous post as well, before I saw this one. Gave you my two-cents on mommyhood and business. Have a great week.
