For the past few days I have been trying to think of something to blog about. I actually lead a pretty boring but fun and relaxing life. Then it dawned on me this morning the whole reason I sent up this blog.... to keep people updated while we are across the country. So I am warning you now this may be boring to some but for lack of exciting things to blog about this is what you get.
I will start with Grey. He actually has the most boring part of this journey but he still has some great stories. He has a meeting everyday at noon with all the sales reps to discuss the previous day and their strategies for the day. They then break off into car groups of four or five and drive to a designated area in the worst part of town. It is there where the boring starts (I know you thought the worst was over...its not) he goes from door to door and gives his sales pitch trying to "give away" security systems. They are in such bad parts of town they get warned by police on a regular basis to GET OUT before dark! They also get warned by people in the neighborhoods to get out by before dark. They stop knocking around 9:00-9:30, meet back at the car and come home. He meets interesting people and sees a different way of life. He is also getting a chance to learn a lot of spanish. He has had an iguana try to attack him (okay, that was his story but I think what really happened is he didnt notice it and walked in front of it which made it leap away, but Grey likes to stay he was almost attacked) Grey loves it and is having fun.
As for me I get up every morning at 8:00 (I know rough huh) and go jogging. Then come back and do some cleaning and laundry, fix Grey lunch and get Londyn up and ready. We go to the pool or beach for a few hours, come back and while Londyn takes a nap I relax (the beach and pool with Londyn are not real relaxing, she is so busy) We usually run a couple errands then at about 8:00 we start cooking dinner so it is ready for Grey when he gets home. I have met some really good friends here and we do dinner with people almost every night and the girls hang out all day. I am having fun but still trying to be really supportive and aware that Grey is out working hard all day and I am hanging out at the pool.
Londyn LOVES it here! She is really attached to things out here. I think I have mentioned it before but I bought a little umbrella stroller and she is so attached to it she sits in it to watch movies, she has to have it on her lap in the car (we dont do that anymore she just has to deal with it) and she does not let anyone push her in it except me. She is also attached to one blanket that she has to have with her or by her all the time. She loves being at the beach but will not play with toys, instead she eats the sand or finds seashells (and garbage). She is such a little daredevil at the pool and is not afraid to go under water. One of the girls out here teaches swim lessons at home so she is starting Londyn and Yazmin (another little girl out here, she is 12 mnths) in lessons today! yeah! I will let you know how it goes. Londyn has grown up so much since being out here and I am excited for family and friends to see her and their reaction.
Well that is a boring update on our family but this is the reason for the blog so every once in a while you will have to deal with an update. Londyn and I are coming to visit July 5-16th so we hope to see everyone!
