Okay, I know what you're thinking.... another boring update with no pictures. But this is also kind of a little journal for our family as well.
I went to the doctor yesterday and good news! I am still...well lets start with Monday night...We hung out with my family because my mom has been gone what seems like all month. We went to my grandma's house (my dad's mom) while he fixed her washer. It was there that contractions started. I was timing just like I do every time but didnt think anything would be different than any other time but to my suprise they were 5 minutes apart! I dont know if I showed it but I was starting to worry because I had never even had a braxton hicks contraction (sp?) with Londyn. Now they were 5 min apart and for 25 min stayed that way. I had a 20 min break and took a deap breath but once again another round 5 min apart. I did not want to rush to the emergency room just for them to send me home an hour later and besides that I WAS STARVING! I decided if it was still going this way after I had stuffed my face then yes I would go. I think I am also worried because once I have this baby I will not have an excuse to eat whatever I want and how much I want. I will be on the road to getting back in my regular clothes. That may have influenced my decision of not going to the hospital, sad huh? Anyway once I ate they stopped coming so close and now I was tired so we went home and to bed. I already had an appointment scheduled the next day so I was excited to see if the night before was a sign I had progressed.
Now to the doctors appointment... Yes I gained a lot of weight for one week but frankly right now I dont care, I just want this baby out! I am still dialated to a 2 but 70% effaced (sp?), Yah!
Being effaced means every contraction now will help my cervix dialate even more. The docotor said it could be this week but if I have not gone in to labor by the end of next week she will induce me! So folks we will have a new baby boy by next weekend! Now anxiety sets in and I kind of think I could wait another month, ha ha. We are so excited and busy getting last minute things ready.
Unfortunatley because of the amount of travel my mom does for work and the one and only meeting this month that cannot be moved or cancelled (scheduled for next Thurs and Fri) she might miss the birth of the baby. I am sad because when Londyn was born everyone rushed to see her and left me laying there with the doctor still working on me... everyone but my mom, she stayed right with me. I will really miss her if she is not there but we are going on a long walk tomorrow to help things along.
Thanks for your patience in reading our "journal entry" we will update more info.
