Terrible Twos ALREADY!!!

Oh my gosh! Londyn has hit terrible twos already and I am ready to go crazy. She has been so bad for the last week. Here are a few examples of what I have been going through (remember I am pregnant so my patience is already low)

1- During Sunday dinner at Greys parent's house Londyn found a decorative ball (you know the ones you use as decoration) she started playing with it and Greys mom kept telling her to put it back. She got mad and threw it on the tile! It didnt break but she knew what she was doing.

2- The next day she was playing with a little cousin in the family, Emma, and bit her twice! I was the same way when I was little but it is so hard to deal with a biter. And Londyn knows she is not supposed to bite so she only does it when I am not in the room.

3- A couple days after that she was playing with another little cousin who is not even a year old, she bit him twice! She left bruises and welts on his arm!

4- The day after that we were at the store and they didnt have the carts with the car on the front so she refused to sit in any cart. She was throwing a fit!

5- Then last night at Greys parents she was in her highchair whining and complaining while pointing to the counter. We pointed to everything and she kept shaking her head "no". Finally Grey got her cup and his cousin went to put milk in it and Londyn absolutly freaked out! She did not want Meggan to touch her cup. She wouldn't even drink out of it after that (she didnt have a choice). It turns out she wanted Meggan to leave the whole time! What a brat.

These are just a few things I have had to deal with. She has been like this all day everyday. I am trying to teach her to say "please" and "thank you", so far she throws a fit then she will say it (or she doesn't say it and I ignore her and she forgets about what she wanted). This is rough stage that my dad says lasts 16 more years! I want to apologize to any little kids Londyn has bitten or will bite in the future (because she will, it is a stage she will probably have to grow out of) I am so sorry and I really am trying to get a grip on it.

Thanks for listening to my complaining, but sometimes it feels better to get it of your chest. well, I better go, Londyn just dumped her bag of crumbs all over the freshly swept floor! Ugh!!!

Hey Oakley, I just saw you had a blog so I decided to check it out. Don't worry the terrible twos get worse when they turn 3!! Being a mom is the hardest job in the world, but it's worth it. There will always be something new they start doing, but somehow we manage to get through it.

this is just my 2 cents on the matter.
First I am sorry that she bits, My oldest bit ALL the time and my youngest is will bit every now and again. I know it is hard but just remember that it is her way of saying that she doesn't like what is going on. It could be just at that moment are all the changes the she has been there in the past few months. Move 2x and going to have a new sibling is a LOT for her to deal with. She is just trying to find away to let it all out. Just keep giving her the same discipline method for what ever she is doing. She will learn so that you are the mommy and she can't get away with that. Also with the new baby on the way I would start now and "her time" having it be a time where you and her do things that she likes. Find some way to make it different then a normal day. And then when the baby comes even through it will be hard make sure you keep up with her time.

I'll tell you what - Some days it is a good thing that they are adorable!! We love little Londyn, no matter what! And we love you too so don't stress too much about it!

That sucks bad Oakley! Avery has been in her terrible two's since she was 18 mo. old and it only gets better (as in worse). We should let them play, if Londyn bites Avery, Aves will push her into a wall (that's her mean streak)...and if Aves pushes Londyn, she can just bite her back. It's a good trade off! LOL!
