Chattanooga, Tennessee

Well it started at 6:00am this morning when we woke up to start our journey home. We got a late start and didnt head out until 8:00 then missed a turn so took a 15min detour. After 11 hours driving we made it through Florida and to Atlanta, Georgia. Our goal was Nashville, Tennessee but we hit an hour delay in traffic through Atlanta so here we are in Chattanooga!

The 13 HOUR drive was not bad and Londyn did so good but by the time we hit Chattanooga she was DONE!!! Our destination tomorrow is Nauvoo, Illinois. Although there is not much to do in the car for 13 hours we managed to have a memorable experience. We kept seeing billboards and homemade signs for BBQ, good southern BBQ, and you know how Grey and I love BBQ! We decided we would find a true southern BBQ place for dinner. We came across these signs for a place in a little town called High Falls, Georgia. We decided to check it out. It was definately a small town (if it was even considered a true town) and the "restaurant" was exactly what you would picture an "off the beaten path" southern BBQ to look like. We thought "perfect, real BBQ". I got chicken with brunswick stew and Grey got ribs with, of course, baked potato. It was good but as Grey puts it "nothing to write home about" and here I am writing a blog about it. It was just the experience that was great!
Oh, and we crossed the Swannee River. I had to call my mom to remember the lyrics to the song about the Swannee River. Grey didnt think it was as cool as I did.
Well it is late and Londyn in not cooperating so until tomorrow.
