Grey was not feeling well and went to bed early. I went to bed around 11:00 and just as I was about to write in my journal Londyn started crying "mommy I want you" I let her cry for about 2 min thinking she heard me getting ready and wanted to get out of bed. Then her crying became one of pain. I went in and picked her up but she wanted to get down. When I set her down she was walking funny and still crying so I picked her up, went in our room and said to Grey " she is acting weird". I layed her on our bed and noticed her stomach was HUGE! It was really really tight around her pajamas and hard as a rock. Our first thoughts were- something internally is leaking, something is swelling, etc... As parents I think everything horrible ran through our heads. She was clearly in a lot of pain and nothing (not even her mom) could comfort her so we decided to take her to the ER. It was the longest drive to the hospital. when we got there I started to get the feeling "Do they think I am a paranoid mom?". It was troubling and comforting when the triage nurse was really concerned about the size of Londyn's stomach. They put us in a room and said they need the doctor to come in ASAP. Just before the doctor walked in Londyn threw up everywhere! I didnt know a little girl could hold that much but she immediatly felt better. However her stomach was still big (not as hard) so the doctor was still concerned and wanted xrays. The xrays came back and showed AIR! Thats right, Londyn had so much air in her stomach (stumped everyone on how) that the pressure caused her to throw up. The doctor said since she was not in pain anymore we could take her home, watch her and see if she can release the air on her own. It was a huge relief, I am so glad it was nothing seriouse but for a parent it was very scary (especially when the doctor and nurses were really concerned). That was a quick summary but we did not get home until 2am, it was a long night. But Londyn woke up the next morning and has been fine ever since. Her little potbelly is back to normal.
Anyway I decided to post more random pictures since blogging is boring without pics.
This is actually the little bed Londyn got for her doll but she loves to get in it with her babies.
